I’ve got one more pair of side opening parachute pants to make for school uniform. I had them cut out Wednesday but haven’t got to them. This will be the 4th pair!
I also want to finish her Parachute Polo/Tea party birthday dress for tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one finished 🙂 -

I made a Carousel dress for Liddy (11),today.
I used sand coloured velvet/uncut cord (not sure what it is) with red topstitching. It has quite a medieval feel to it.

provided you take the armholes it should be fine. don’t forget that the shoulders can affect the sleeve too.

Just a tip — if you post these changes in the caption of the photo, they will be more easily available for anybody who searches the flickr pool for inspiration and comes across your dress. You can include notes about what size you made and what fabric you used as well, people often are curious about that.

I am sorry Masha.
If it is any comfort, the moonboot offers a lot of support. Jed polished all our timber floors wearing one.All the best with the birth, I will be thinking of you.

I really like both top patterns and will be purchasing as soon as I have a little extra “me” money. The Gallery top looks like it would be the perfect top (made in a voile or gauze) to throw on over a tank top or camisole for the slightly cooler summer nights at the beach. I probably won’t make it as a dress as I like my dresses to be more…[Read more]

I love the Gallery so much, I just wish it was a two piece collar. I can see it becoming another Portfolio dress. Hunted down and sort after.
The Maritime is divine, such a slimming and flattering style.
The skirt is so cute, I am concerned how it will look on me as I have a very thick waist and poochy tummy but I love it.
I can see how much…[Read more]

Thanks, Sarvi and Cat! Courtney, the skirt is designed to sit at your natural waist, but it’s really a matter of your preference. Just like if you tried things on at a store, you get to decide how you want to wear your clothing. If you prefer it to sit a little lower, that’s up to you. Mine sits at my belly button or slightly lower, yes.

I LOVE both tops and if this month were not so insanely busy I’d have ordered and made them already. I absolutely love the Maritime top, it’s one of my favorite styles and I have a few that all have something sligh…[Read more]

Hey all, I asked Todd to create this group so we’d have a place to easily discuss sewing for ourselves. So first question: feedback on the new Liesl + Co patterns? Are these styles you want to sew for yourself?
