Ta, Heidi. Sounds like it’s worth taking the risk. All the recent babies that I might sew for in the future, are boys – gorgeous bunnies. So, need to get shot of the TParty. Dying to give it a go as so many of the beauties I’ve seen in Flickr are so enticing.

Just finished my first two Class Picnic tops (sizes 2, and 5), and another Butterfly skirt. CP’s more fiddly than I thought -especially hemming the sleeves – I had to tack them right close to fold so that I could machine sew. I love the separate machines. It would really annoy me to switch back and forth and I wouldn’t use the coverstitch as much. As well as my regular overlocker I also have one set up exclusively for rolled hem. I’m definitely in the dedicated machine for the job 🙂

I think Liesl said it could be made all in knit.

I’ve also seen it too short before to small.

I got a Janome Cpx1000. I use it on most of my sewing projects.I really like the space to the right hand side of the needle. It allows me to easily top stitch seams. I also find it useful to do double rows of top sitting on wovens to give nice even top stitching.

I have a janome (but then all my machines are Janome). Unfortunately I don’t use it enough because of the size of my sewing table (it has to be squished up the back until I need it). I managed to correct and finish two pairs – one each for the kids. Imogen’s were perfect on her but Noah’s stretched and he needed to wear a belt. I gently lectured him over the importance of cooperating when measuring him so that he could wear clothes that were just right not too big or small. Do you have the Libary dress or the school photo Dress or another Oliver and S with 3/4 sleeves?
I would use the sleeve head of the Jumprope and the 3/4 length from something else and then add the tab.
