Sew Alongs 10 years agoHello, friends! I’m so glad you’re joining me for our Lisette coat B6244 sew-along. This is a really fast sew: with only three pattern pieces, no lining or facings, and a minimum of seams, we’ll be spending more time on flat-finishing the seams than on anything else. If you’ve never tried a flat-felled seam before, I think you’re going to like the…[Read more]

Tamara what part of the country is he in? In British Columbia you can buy TimTams at Save On Foods, but not very many different flavours.

I’m really unsure as to variety of flavours or anything for overseas. I’m even not that sure about how accessible it would be for him to access them from the US. Even that would incur some research. I think he just mentioned it because that was something he missed about home. I am happy to send to him. It would help relieve the homesickness.

I say go with what feels right. Maybe do a circulation or one pattern at a time? I like the circulation bit better myself that way you don’t run the risk of being bored with the same old twenty times over. He tells me he has milo on everything 😜😳 but then he is training with the wrestling team and of course needs the stuff for energy. He tells me it tastes wierd (no offence to Canadian products or anything. I think he is used to the way it tastes at home). He’s also been looking for timtams and can’t find them anywhere.
I did look up some…[Read more]

Thank you ladies for your opinions on trim on ‘front’ only; more opinions still welcome. Some of my ‘mums’ have had probs in the past knowing the front from the back of some O+S tops unless the outfit has pockets. Well I’ll give it a whirl with the front only, and see what happens. Currently making a Hopscotch skirt of light weight aqua cord with…[Read more]
