Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoI know they have lovely models and would be glad to try any of them. And the fact that they have a history behind make these magazines even more special. I would love to have some sent though they should go over half the globe to Europe.

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoWhen I try copy and paste for a link, it won’t even paste. If I open a word doc and paste it into the doc, it works, but if I try and paste in this, it doesn’t work at all.
For the admin’s info. I am on a Mac (Yosemite), using Chrome. I thought it was just me being inept that was having problems so I didn’t mention it to anyone.

Yes, that’s the one.
Link button doesn’t work for me either but the copy/paste does. -

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoIs this the one you are referring to, @Deb ? I’m trying it with the link button {above} first, and then copy/pasting a second time in case the 1st doesn’t work….

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoI’ve never learned to love eggplant – maybe I should give it a try again.
I’m stuck on the quinoa. It’s so good, I’ve had it for lunch all last week and this week. I make a batch on Sunday night, divide it into 4 jars and top up with chicken, fish or beef. Perfect for lunch.
I use this recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnmjmHUUxsY (the…[Read more]

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoTonight, http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/24751/classic+moussaka, as I was given 3 beautiful glossy egg plants.
I added extra garlic, salt and pepper as well as salting my egg plant before cooking it. -

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoI feel a bit of a fraud here 🙂 I was heavily into smocking and embroidery in the late 90’s and early 00’s but my style has changed somewhat.
My claim to fame is I grew up in the town that Country Bumpkin was started and went to school with Margie Bauer and Lib Rayner’s daughters (the clever sisters who’s started A S&E).Hugo (18) had smocked…[Read more]

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoLoving this discussion – about heirloom techniques and technology!!! We hope to crosshatch without filler….but since we’ve yet to do it, that is yet to be determined.
@cybele27 EXCELLENT IDEA on the garden party for the preteen ladies!

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoLotta, your food sounds so amazing!
I made this soup last week, https://www.pinterest.com/pin/73676143880130031/, I substituted light sour cream and used extra garlic.

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years ago@cybele727 …. can’t do the link or attachment either.
Maybe we should ask @FrancesSuzanne to do tips on heirloom sewing AND internet stuff. One of them is a graphic designer and can rock the web! -

What about a pintucked feature down the side of a pair of trousers?

When I click either link or reply nothing happens.

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoDeb,
Maybe it is just me, but when I click on that link, I am told I don’t have access to that account. I think you posted a link that is for the author of a page, and since the blog id is a number, we can’t search for the blog….. -

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoDang… my last post entry was directed to Frances/Suzanne but the link didn’t appear. Ooops.
