Heidi, you are kind, you remind of an Aunt of mine who never wed. She made us the most amazing gifts, we adored her.
My go-to teen boy gift is a shoe bag, like the drawstring bag in the LTTS book (I know you have that). I also like to pop a small pack of wet ones and some Scuff Stuff shoe polish in it.
Voila, a travellers shoe cleaning kit.

Justine is spot on with dag.
The dress style of ‘daggy’ is less complimentary, ‘dag’ is more affectionate.A true dag is a product of sheep waste and wool, don’t google image it.
Crayon here.
We now regularly use ‘amaze balls’ and ‘awesome sauce’ in our current vernacular. We call them ‘britterism’s’ from the awesome Brittney.
I definitely use…[Read more]

In South Australia it is generally a ‘soft’ drink or a ‘softie’. Our family calls it ‘fizzy’.
I.E Saturday night is ‘fizzy’ night. -

I thought it had to be sweet. I don’t know too many children that would like soda water.
I used to read about it in Bobbsey Twins books.Thank you Karen, x

Um, yes (blushes and looks bashful).
Hugo picked it up an auction for me.
It now holds sheep propaganda. Far less exciting. -

@motherof5, that last photo! Is that for real? I see less impressive displays of our patterns in most of the stores I visit.

I love ziplock bags.
I laminate the front and back of my pattern package (or PDF print off) and then put them in a ziplock bag with all the tracings and instructions sheet in between them.
This is a reasonable sturdy and protective option.
