It came out great. I love a finished seam. I used a good quality quilting cotton, and the seam wasn’t bulky at all.

I improvised a larger bag for my four-year-old. It needed to carry a folder and lunch bag. I sketched out the size I wanted, and used the instructions to guide my sewing. It got a bit fiddly when I attached the lining to the zipper, but it looks good.

I have one of the snap setting tools that you tap with a hammer. It is quite easy and satisfying, but the snaps don’t hold in thick fabric. The top snap of the family reunion dress has to go through a lot of layers. I find it easier to use the sew in snaps for that top snap.

I used these. They are quite pricey, but so easy to use.

I used magnetic sew in snaps when I made mine. I put them on the tabs, but when I make the next one, I plan to omit the tabs. I might just have it button.
I’m still planning. I bought wool/poly blend coating since Fabric.com has a lot on sale. -
