Can you use those buckle closures that are sewn onto the outside?
Or maybe make tabs with your own fabric and have snaps – bit like view B…. -

Oh, hang on @reeni, do you mean wool fabric for sewing, or wool yarn for knitting?

Absolutely @reeni !
I’m so bored of sewing navy pants and my seven and a half year old is fast outgrowing his current ones.
I’d love to give them a home and a new schoolyard!
Name your exchange…. -

Hope all goes well Tamara, your comment about his limited range of movement pre and post surgery reminded me of an old Spike Milligan joke:
To paraphrase: “Doc, when the cast comes off, will I be able to play the violin?… Yes?…. Wonderful, I never could before”
The last time I was reminded of that joke was when I had a 9 week old baby about to…[Read more] -

Heidi you’re a machine! I’ve just completed one and feel so glad to be done with it.
I was thinking of you as I sewed, though… I forgot about the side notches being out on the large pattern. Do you use them at all, or just ease the corners of the back panel onto the bag? -

I think I see what you mean…
In the welt pocket construction steps the seam allowances of the welt/pocket bag seam are pressed towards the pocket bag (then held there when the sides of the pocket are closed)
Yet the trouser assembly picture does indeed seem to show this seam pressed open. (first image below).
I’ve attached a picture of a…[Read more]

I would suspect they’re looking at the page size of a page OTHER than the last page. You shouldn’t need to do anything to that pattern sheet except print it as is.
From all reports the ease of printing at a copy shop depends entirely on the staff member who serves you.
