We have just lost power again! And here I was ready to use the iron on some fabric! Really really hoping it comes on sooner than reported and that it doesn’t go out again tomorrow. It is simply impossible to sew in the dark!

In a perfect world, tomorrow the power will be on and I will be able to get cracking on this coat!

I’m having a whirlwind romance with chambray right now…I have 4 different colors/brands in my stash/scrap basket right now. Currently, sewing up some field trip cargo pants in RK interweave chambray in ‘boysenberry’. Absolutely gorgeous color and material, so easy to work with. And I freak out at the thought of having a 12 year old! I see that it might be a never ending thing here!

Have found more thread of the same colour/ shade and have almost finished the panel. Can’t wait to finish it totally and see it as a finished coat.
