@Inder I figure if I use a stretchy knit it should be useable and give me some leeway.
She is divinely chubby.
Thank you! -

Oooh, that sounds so pretty. I sewed with faux shearling once, it wasn’t so bad. I shaved the seam allowance with a daisy shaver first.

Thank you all! I had a feeling that the after school would be the best fit so I look forward to my daughter growing into the size 5! Maybe I’ll experiment with the sandbox and field trip for now. If I skip most of the pockets then I should be able to sew up a pair or two quickly to confirm fit.

My experience with the 3T size was a slim fit- far slimmer than any other O+S pattern I’ve sewn. But I’m not sure about the smallest sizes!

This was one of my favorites for the twins when they were little. It is on the slimmer side, so it fit Georgia better and for a longer time. Here were a few of their 6 month ones: http://sewingforfour.blogspot.com/2012/03/hopscotch-dresses.html?m=0

Lawn for the shirt, chambray and some faux shearling for the jacket (nightmare to sew with I think!) and some dotty medium weight cotton/linen blend fir the trews.
I’m feeding pretty much every 1.5 hours round the clock, it WILL settle down! I’m doing very little bits of sewing when possible, hopefully sewing room will be finished next week so I…[Read more]

Finished Imogen’s dress but I don’t know why the muslin bodice fit well yet the real one was slightly too big. Nevermind she may only wear it once.
I managed to find some grey trousers for Noah but as we mostly have problems with rtw I have to rearrange a button so the poor boy doesn’t feel strangled when he sits down. I also found a white shirt…[Read more]

Where would you prefer the length to be on her Nicole? I was thinking the same actually regarding the pattern. It starts at the six month size doesn’t it though? Are you thinking make now to grow into?
I would guess (strictly) it would fall around mid calf if this is any help but then I am in the same boat and have never made the tiny sizes and I…[Read more]

Thankyou my dear sweet forum friends!
My ankles have decided they want to be balloons so yes, I will be taking care of myself. The last thing I want is to spend my last weeks of pregnancy in hospital due to high blood pressure!
Nicole I hope Jed was ok. How extensive was the damage?
Our header is heading for the scrap heap and we have quickly…[Read more]

Agree re the after pants – they are the slimmest IMO – I love the sandbox pants but they are wide-ish at the bottoms
(Ahhh, but just realised you only have the larger size range for the after school….I think that you would be best making a 3/4T if she is long and skinny)
