I got this photo through the other day. All the girls made one for their mums so I thought I would share it here and wish everyone a Happy Mother’s day.

@sewgirl23 oh wow you are on a roll for sure! I love the pinwheel tunic and dress but as yet haven’t made it for my youngest daughter – made two for the eldes a d they unfortunately sat in the cupboard after the initial wear. And the afterschool pants make the best little girl jeans!

Well the concord is ready to use and now I am on to altering the j stern designs jeans pattern I bought for myself when I first got the make your own designer jeans class with Angela Wolf on Craftsy. I am slowly gathering a hefty sized parcel of items to send to Imogen next week. I didn’t end up taking them with me this last trip as I just simply ran out of time so the photoshoot of the pyjamas will just have to wait until midterm break (beginning of June). Oh that is a great piece of news. My late parents in law did the same thing when their elder two went to the city to study. Unfortunately it was sold a few years ago so we don’t get to be independent from family anymore. I have a toddler who would rather me just sit and devote my attention to her than anyone or thing else right now!

I managed the jeans but didn’t get the other things done. Have to leave this afternoon so I have no choice but to leave them for when I get back. I will be back in Perth again next week anyhow so hopefully I will have some pj’s and a bathrobe finished in that time also.

@nan53 did you measure your grand daughter’s hips? My 15 month old has to wear an 18-24 month size on her bottom half just because of her hips! I haven’t as yet made this pattern for her and, knowing it is a slimmer fit skirt, I will do the same and use this size. She is a 12-18 month size in the top half.

Traveller dress needs collar stitched down, buttons and holes and sleeve hems done.

B5616 needs sleeves sewn in waistband on and buttons and holes.

Jalie jeans need topstitching, back pockets and a basic putting together of well, everything!

Nearly there with all three.

Slowly making my way through b5616. Really a very straight forward sew, just I decided to distress along the way and very nearly ripped the fabric. Of course it has to have pink topstitching!

Have to find out about the errata if any for afterschool pants as the middle part is a bit long. I think I remember it being mentioned. Never made this size…[Read more]
