+/- on setting in sleeves are well it can be fiddly to get the easing right in the round. Also to get the sleeve seam and the side seams to match up perfect can be fiddly. I just find it easier to do the sleeve and side seam in one on little garments. It’s faster. But the other way is I guess the proper way.

Well the instructions were from the doctors to do “nothing” but being an active person there is no way he can sit and have a forced holiday for the whole 6 weeks! If you are asking after my darling hubby, then yes he is but he can’t do anything and it is driving him (and me) insane. He is doing silly things like reversing the car out of the garage because he “wants to help” but he twinged a muscle getting Chloë from her cot after her nap the other day and was feeling very sorry for himself.

We are still plodding away at the curtains – but I am so itching to sew a garment😳

We are just about finished sewing the curtains for the lounge room and then hopefully we can get onto the tab tops for the sewing room. And we HAVE to put the tinting stuff on the window to save my fabric!

Love the idea of an embellishment challenge.

I have plenty of mash up ideas. They are just stuck in my head for now.

I agree with sateen for choice. It will look slightly dressier also. Don’t be afraid to add a little bit of colour into the mix. Even though my son wore the Christening gown I had already made, I made a silk romper for him to wear to my sister’s wedding the same year, in ivory silk and lightblue mini piping. Yes I was thinking the same thing. I have enough for both the tunic and dress in the size 12-18 months which is what she is currently moving into. I cut the bubble dress using the Children at play border fabric. I just love this pattern.
