@Emily without talking about your son’s “down there” bits I can’t imagine a 3 year old boy needs any different crotch rise from a girl of the same age!

What a sweet surprise, Tamara. I woke up to a vase of tulips and a card from my husband on my bedside table. When I came downstairs the kids presented me with handmade cards. It is a busy day filled with commitments so I probably won’t get much sewing time until the evening. I told my husband he can give me a raincheck 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day! Just thinking about heading out to a quilt finishing day at the senior’s centre. The ladies like it when “young” people come, and they don’t mind that I sew other things. I’ll go for the morning.

Finally coming up for air after finishing a Metro long sleeved t-shirt for my husband’s birthday tomorrow. I gave myself a week of late nights by deciding to cross stitch the complete Galactica Space Invaders arcade game from the 80’s across the front! Pics soon I hope. Sleep first!!

That’s a great idea @withloveHeidi and they will be great for afterwards when all is healed as sport track pants that she can put on without yet having to take shoes off. The pattern should be perfect.

I think a lot of places will ship fabric on the bolt if you order the right quantity. Fiona, I have found the Playtime to be pretty on par with my other oft-used patterns – Music Box, Bubble Dress, Class Picnic, etc. So for my slender girls I size down the width considerably – the last ones I made (woven) were a size 2 with length but that was a while ago. I’d say I go down two sizes or so from RTW but that is the case with the…[Read more]
