I just made this blouse for my daughter and I had to iron the living daylights out of both the neckline and and armhole facings to make it lie flat. While the method for bias facing in the pattern is nice and simple, I like cutting thinner strips of bias and then ironing the long sides towards the middle like single-fold bias tape. I confess, I would not feel comfortable with that level of matchy with my daughter, but to each their own! I am still scarred by my childhood in the 1980s. Nuff said.

It would also be very easy to slim down the Art Museum trousers based on a pair of pants that fits well. The Field Trip and Sandbox patterns have wide legs.

Maybe consider buying the small range of the After School pattern, since it is actually a fantastic pants pattern for little boys too? 😉

I like this idea. I was considering Nature Walk pants for Maggie in pink sweatshirt fleece – poly fleece would be even warmer! I think the big thing for leggings is that the fabric needs to be pretty stretchy and have good recovery (snap back) – otherwise you’ll either have difficulty getting them on and moving, or you’ll have baggy knees and butt.

I do think it’s a bit snug in the arms if your baby is chubby, but not to the point where it’s been too small for mine. 🙂
