Sew Alongs 11 years agoI like the tip for the fake flatlock. My first pair I used a straight stitch and didn’t love it as much so I left it off the other pairs, I think I will give this a try.

Sew Alongs 11 years agoYes, I was wondering about that myself. Rachel (@nestfullofeggs), maybe it’s better to add a new post for each day of the sew-along? I think the updates get lost otherwise. In other words, maybe each day of the sew-along should be a reply to the post instead of modifying the original post? Do you think that would be better, @georgeandizzy?

Sew Alongs 11 years ago@Liesl The only thing I can think of, is that you would have to remember to come and check every day. Because @nestfullofeggs modifies the post, which seems the right thing to do since it flows and wouldn’t be interrupted by comments/discussion, it doesn’t refresh the topic on the main page.

When I click to view ‘all forums’ I can only see to the Forest Path, but when I use the drop down menu I can see them all. I wasn’t sure if anyone else noticed this.

@motherof5 made this with long/longish sleeves on the grey dress with hot pink piping. I’m not sure how she lengthened it but maybe she’ll let us know 🙂

It is a good question. The sleeve is kimono style and on a bias of sorts.
I think I would shorten by measuring from the sleeve cuff back, taking equal amounts from the sleeve front and the sleeve back. I would suggest leaving then sleeve a little longer then you anticipate too. You can always cut more off.

Could you either upload a smaller photo or link to a photo hosted elsewhere (flickr allows for pretty big files) — I’m afraid I’m having a bit of trouble picturing the problem you’re describing.
