Enbee started the topic Mix interlock with jersey? in the forum oliver + s: field trip 9 years ago
I like to turn adult-sized fun graphic tees into new shirts for my little guy using upcycled shirts for the contrasting sleeves. I have a new tee in jersey fabric for the main body, and I happen to have an old shirt of mine in the perfect color for its sleeves. However, my shirt is a fairly stretchy interlock. Think that would cause any issues?…[Read more]

I’ve made a bunch of these, and for the very last one, I pinned the life out of the Fabric B cap and attached it while doing the final edgestitch step. It wasn’t perfect, but then I’ve never had great luck getting that edgestitch to look great on both sides of the cap, anyway!
Next time I make this (and it’ll be soon, as my little guy has a real…[Read more]

Hi, all – I’m thinking about picking this pattern up, so I flipped through the Flickr archives to see what it looks like in various sizes and fabrics. Add in a double needle for hemming, and I’ve…[Read more]

Hi, all – different forums have different preferences, so I thought I’d check before doing this here. If I have a question that’s related to an old thread, would the moderators rather I bump the old thread or start a new one?

Hi, all! After going years without sewing, I dusted off my middle school Home Ec skills in order to sew some clothes for my son. I stumbled across Oliver + S by way of the Bucket Hat free pattern, then again when I decided, for some reason, that my 3 month old needed a trench coat for his Halloween costume. I’ve since picked up a few…[Read more]
