This time of year is so busy!
Thank goodness the Champagne is fizzy.
But the joy of the day
Is all over by May
And this weather is making me dizzy.I wish I was living in Spain

I really liked them and was very pleased with how they turned out….they got worn constantly until my son outgrew them. But, as you say, they did have a low-riding pockets look, which I always figured was intentional to go with the normal skinny jean…[Read more]

My little girl is about to outgrow
Her coat, her frock, and chapeau

I was going over and filling out the new checklist this weekend (in which I discovered that I have 35 O+S patterns!!! including paper patterns of all the first patterns, Spring and Fall 2008, many in both sizes!) and found that there is not a separate Playtime Leggings listed. No big deal to me, but thought the creator might like to know.

You know, when I saw the pocket that Lauren put on her dress I thought, “hmm.. I wonder if she got that idea from an Oliver & S pattern”.
I also wish they wouldn’t rush the contestants so. The ability to complete a project quickly does not mean you are a good seamstress. I know alot of people who can sew a dress much faster than myself, but I…[Read more] -

You could maybe put ribbing around the neckline. I’ve been thinking about making this in knit and, since I would not include the lining, I would use a piece of ribbing for the elastic casing.

bren5kids replied to the topic When do you Serge? in the forum off topic 13 years ago
It kind of depends. If I’m sewing a seam that I want to lie flat ie. press it open, I will serge both sides before I sew the seam; such as a shoulder seam, or a seam down the back of a skirt or dress that has an invisible zipper inserted in it. But if it is a seam that will get ironed to one side, such as an armhole, I will sew the seam first,…[Read more]
