Brilliant, thanks Ladies.
I have some very stretchy soft cotton lycra I will make the prototype with. The links were super helpful.

Oooh, that sounds so pretty. I sewed with faux shearling once, it wasn’t so bad. I shaved the seam allowance with a daisy shaver first.

This was one of my favorites for the twins when they were little. It is on the slimmer side, so it fit Georgia better and for a longer time. Here were a few of their 6 month ones: http://sewingforfour.blogspot.com/2012/03/hopscotch-dresses.html?m=0

I made it for Maggie in the 6 month size, and it was adorable, not super wide, but a bit low cut in the chest? http://www.inderlovesfolkart.com/2013/01/happy-new-year.html

Agree re the after pants – they are the slimmest IMO – I love the sandbox pants but they are wide-ish at the bottoms
(Ahhh, but just realised you only have the larger size range for the after school….I think that you would be best making a 3/4T if she is long and skinny)

I love the fit of the After School pants. They are a nice slim fit although I do have to lengthen them a bit for my long skinny boys. The Sandbox are also a great fit and I’ve never had to lengthen them.
Good luck! -

Both the Sandbox and Afterschool have nice long legs.

I would imagine the five would be okay. I’ve found, however, that many nightgown patterns have wide necklines and shoulders and slip off my girls’ shoulders if I’m not careful in sizing.

I’ve made them all except the Nature Walk and for my kids who are slim but average height I have found the After School to be the slimmest. They’re easy to pull on for little ones, too.
I still have to size my oldest daughter down in width on everything, she’s 11. It’s not difficult, I just have focus carefully when I trace my pattern pieces…[Read more]
