Our clocks were set forward so I’m guessing yours go back?
I have high hopes for the pergola project. We were going to get an awning but we live in the last house in a row house building and the wind does really weird things just at the corner. I fear an awning would be quite useless.
We’ve discussed different solutions but nothing works because of the gusty winds. I’m hoping a sturdy pergola with a retractable fabric ceiling would be just the thing – we have to look into what permits we’ll need though – which is just Ugh …
Thank you Lotta. I struggle every year.
We are all off to the city today for dentist/orthodontist appointments. I hope to pop into Lempo Bee’s Drapery http://draperyfinefabrics.blogspot.com.au . I have a pattern on hold and a roll of Swedish tracing paper. Sarvi has me all inspired.
I may have to look at her linens too…..
It was shut last time I called in. I swear I could smell the fabric through a crack in the door.
Totally jealous Nicole – say hi to Jane for me!
I did!
It is a gorgeous shop, such lovely fabric. I was very restrained and bought a little Kokka linen and a few Victory patterns.
It was just like a proper country drapery, down to the toy basket for the children.
Jane and Fiona were just so sweet.
Our new grill has arrived at the store (Yay!!) but as I have the boot of our car full of tyres I will leave the pick up for when Rickard comes home so he can take them out first.
Tomorrow I have the day off from family duties (happens every three months) and I plan to have a lie in and then sew a few little things for me and Isabel and maybe start on something new for Sofia. Perhaps even a spot of cross stitch on the sofa if I feel like switching it up.
The girls are off hiking all day so I’m hoping the nice weather we have right now will hold up so they have a good time.
Have a lovely day Lotta. What a jolly good idea!
How lucky your girls are to go hiking. I do envy them.
Its 4 am and I am sitting up with Tildy as she has been sick in her bed.
She seems quite chirpy now. I have made her a bed up on the sofa and I think I will sneak back to bed once she has gone to sleep.
Oops, spoke too soon.
Poor, poor Tildy. Hope she gets better quickly. Hugs to you.
Oh, No! Get well soon Tildy! And I hope no one else gets it!
No fun being sick! Sending best wishes to her.
Thank you sweet Ladies.
It has been a day of many cuddles and stories. I have actually enjoyed sitting and holding my big girl.
Glad to hear she’s doing better. A day of cuddling is good for the soul of Mummies too.
My Sofia got her first pair of glasses on Friday. She’s very proud of them and enjoyed showing them to her friends at a party yesterday. The patch she has to wear every evening – not so much enjoyment there.
I think she’s the cutest thing ever in her glasses.
My day off was sort of a bust – it started well enough with a lazy breakfast and a visit to town but then I agreed to help Rickard assemble our new grill and then Sofia came home from the woods and Rickard felt a bit off so he went to take a nap and Sofia prodded me to show her how to cross stitch (how could I refuse?). With her new glasses and a larger weave it was a lot easier than it was the last time she tried it.
After dinner I did manage to make a cute phone case for Isabel. So quick and easy ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/isabeldecibel/13651138584/ ).
Commiserations to Tildy but I totally get what you’re saying about sick kids being cuddly. I had two very active, very squirmy babies who were never still. The only time they ever fell asleep in our arms was when they were ill. Sure you’d be covered in sick but it was still cute to be able to hold them as they slept.
Poor Tildy, it’s no fun being sick. I hope she is feeling better soon.
Lotta, at least you have a stunning new grill to show for your efforts, and Miss Sofia really looks so stylish in her glasses.
