There isn’t a list available. It’s something we have started doing within the last couple years. Older styles will not have the PDF layers built in, but newer styles will.
In the full description of the pattern, you’ll see a sentence mentioning that the pattern has layers to print only your select size if the pattern has been produced that…[Read more]

Hi Phyllis, here’s a lining tutorial that is perfectly adaptable for the Extra Sharp Pencil Skirt:

I started with a Singer 1978 and used it for years. I then saved doing alterations and repairs at a local dry cleaners and got a Pfaff machine. Used that till last yeaar and bought myself a Janome and I just love it! It hums when I sew and the Professional was not too expensive… I was afraid I would be sorry but it has a leg bar and I use…[Read more]

I was wondering about lining it, too. I’ve made one without a lining and it works fine. I plan on making another. But having a lining would prevent the fabric from getting baggy in the seat.
Is there a blog post somewhere on how to line a skirt?
If a skirt doesn’t call for a lining but you make one anyway, do you skip any waist and edge facings…[Read more] -

Ah ha! Got it. I thought the two smaller pieces were from another pattern piece but now I see they’re the result of cutting the one bigger piece along the cut line. Many thanks.

Phyllis, you will cut two of piece number 13 with your fabric folded. (See the cutting layout.) That will give you pieces for both sleeves.

I’m making the Liesl & Co classic shirt. The pattern pieces provide one sleeve placket piece (number 9), but the directions on page 12, “Making the Sleeve Placket,” show that there are two pieces for the sleeve placket. Where/how do I get the one on the right? I have the one on the left (pattern piece 9).

Those bags look like fun, and a great way to use up scraps – assuming your scraps are better co-ordinate do than mine!
Fun to see an old thread bumped up, thanks.

Currently I’m working with my loyal Singer 4423, but my heart belongs to Bernina. I still regret that I missed an opportunity to buy a used Record 883 model.

I’m going to make bags for me and my niece for new Year. It could be a challenge, since I’m not that experienced in quilting. But I really want to try!
