I’ve gotten hooked on cabbage lately. Kale is a favourite which is good because there’s plenty of it at this time of year, but I think the one I like best is Cavolo Nero (black cabbage). When I was in hospital, last week, Trixie was ‘baby-napped’by the nurses and they loved her clothes. Jed (my husband) is very proud of my sewing and he unpacked and showed off her School Days coat, her Tea Party dress, her Hopscotch…[Read more]

Happy first birthday to little Josephine!
My baby girl is one month old today! Doesn’t seem like its been a month though – it just goes so fast.
I used to go to the local craft group when my eldest was little. It got too hard and some of the old ducks didnt cope well stitching around a toddler. So I stopped going until she started kindergarten…[Read more]

When I was young, my mother would send off to the Wright trim company for a package of lace and ribbon bits and pieces. I remember this vividly because I was so in love with this kind of thing. @roundtheworldgirl and @jax, meeting up sounds great. I’m hoping to have the top floor of our new house as combined sewing and kids play area (with a fence in between!), so once I’m set up I’d be happy to have a sewing play date!
