lakepa replied to the topic Digital Verdun Sleeve Pattern Incomplete in the forum liesl + co: verdun woven t-shirt 4 years ago
The 3 missing pattern pieces were grouped with pattern piece 8, the tee back. It would have been helpful if the pieces had been grouped on a separate sheet included after the other sleeve pieces.

When I received my digital Verdun pattern, I printed all of the pages for view B, size Medium, A/B cup. The sleeve pattern piece, #10, was printed on pages 44 – 49. When I assembled the sleeve, I found that the pattern piece ended at an angle. There was no hem allowance at the bottom of the piece. If you look at the sleeve shown on page 50, it…[Read more]

Without seeing it on you I’d probably be inclined to make a larger size and taper the seams if needed, to get a closer fit through the torso.

Hello. I’m making the Yanaka jacke and have broad shoulders, which I knew before I made my toile. Any ideas how to adjust the shoulders. The length is good and can’t really tell about the rest of my jacket, yet.
Thanks for any help.

Todd Gibson replied to the topic Assembling PDF patterns in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 4 years ago
Our PDF patterns are a little different than others in that you do not assemble a whole, large pattern sheet with all the pieces on it. Instead, you will be assembling the individual pieces one by one. (Why put them all together in a large sheet only to immediately cut them apart, right?) The tiled pieces do not fit together into a single sheet,…[Read more]

I don’t have experience making these shorts for kids at the upper end of the size range, but I have made them in knit with good success – that would provide a bit more ease. I think you could also fairly easily just widen the pattern pieces (maybe just the back panel, maybe both) and add a little onto the waistband.
Also again no experience yet…[Read more]

I’ve made loads of these for my grandchildren, I love the pattern and have recommended it no end of times. Howeveer, I’m coming unstuck on the oldest one, now 7, she has always been very tall for her age, now over 4’6″, and is also now quite shapely. The largest size on the pattern is 12. I can easily add to the length, as I think they’ll be a bit…[Read more]

I am noticing the same thing! It made sense on the collar band but sewing the cuff and facing together 1 in into the sleeve creates a strange jutting out cuff that rolls the placket pieces inward! I am ignoring directions as written and just sewing the curve.

As far as I know it hasn’t been done. The pattern was specifically designed for knits, so I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice here. It may be worth a try if you’re willing to fiddle with it, but I can’t offer any assurances since it’s outside of the scope of the pattern itself.
