Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I’ve managed to get hold of the skirt again and taken some photos. I’ve added 3 here but if you need more let me know.
7 – Skirt Side – Side view showing A-line issue. I’ve already tapered both seams on the side panels starting at 15″ down from the waist from 0.5″ to 1″ at the hem. The A-line was much more pronounced…[Read more]

Hi Brenda, It’s difficult to give advice without being able to see the skirt on you, but one big advantage of this style is that you can adjust the seams, as you mentioned. If you feel that you need more or less room in a certain area, simply move your pins to “let in” or “let out”. Once you’ve gotten a fit you like, those changes can be…[Read more]

I think your best bet would to do a mock layout with the pattern pieces since I’m sure they would use less fabric when combined than with three separate fabrics.

I’d like to make a Noord sweatshirt in a single solid color – without the colorblocking shown in the two pattern views. Any ideas about how much fabric this would require? Adding up the amounts given for each of the three fabric gives at least 3 yards for both view A and view B, but that seems like an awful lot of fabric for one sweatshirt.

Hi,
After admiring and purchasing the ‘Extra Sharp Pencil Skirt’ I was determined to follow every step and make myself a properly finished garment with interfacing, invisible zip etc. After diligently following all the steps I tried on my finished skirt and I was disappointed. I made some adjustments to the side panels/seams as suggested to try…[Read more]

Thanks so much for the help. I assembled a digital pattern before but never one that has multiple pieces on a single sheet of paper. Furthermore, what makes this pdf file particularly difficult is there are no page numbers for each sheet of paper. Asking me to find the pattern piece for a front yoke on pages 15, 16, and 17 is a bit silly when…[Read more]

Chiming in to say I started digital patterns with O+S, and while I can see how it might throw you off if you’ve only ever assembled a whole-sheet digital pattern, I much, much prefer the O+S approach of individual pattern pieces instead. Storing the assembled patterns is much easier this way.

Nothing is missing in the file. You just need to find all the pieces with the same letter-number combinations.
For piece 1, for example, there are four pieces with the letter-number combination 1A. These are spread across three pages: page 15, page 16 (which also includes a section of piece 8D at the bottom–trim the page between those two pieces…[Read more]

Thanks so much for your response. I have matched the letter/number combinations in the corners of some pages.
However, there seems to be some missing pieces. For example: #1 Front Yoke should consist of 4 pages. I can’t find the 4th page. Another issue is 2 of the pages contain pattern parts of another piece of the pattern. Now which parts…[Read more] -

For this pattern, you will be assembling the individual pattern pieces, not a giant pattern sheet. You can find instructions for how to tile the pieces together on page 15 of the PDF file. In short, you will trim the edges (the area outside the grid lines) from the pages. Then look for the letter-number combinations in the black circles in the…[Read more]

Hello,
I am new to the forum. I purchased the Digital Late Lunch Tunic pattern and cannot piece the pages together. I am not sure if there are missing pieces or I am doing something wrong. I printed out the pattern on 8.5 by 11 inch paper. I don’t see any instructions on how the pages should fit together. The line drawing of the pieces do not…[Read more]

I had to take a month off from working on this to do Christmas sewing…but I did eventually get back to it! Thank you so much for your help, Liesl! I ended up making a size 14 with no adjustments and a size 10 neckband. I added 6” to the length I think. And to make the neckband fit, I cut the back out on the fold and added a pleat in the c…[Read more]

Thank you. I ended up making the view b and it came out well despite some missteps along the way. I erred on the side of caution since it was my first time making it but next time I want to try some of the contrasting fabric options for a more creative approach.
