Hi, I’ve made the Geneva top twice in different cottons and really love it! I’ve started a third in tencel and am having trouble with the neckline at the shoulder seam. It puckers! Could it be I pulled the facing too tight? I re-did and the second attempt was better but still not great. Pics attached. Any suggestions?

Nicole replied to the topic Has anyone resized the bucket hat for size 0-3? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 3 years ago
@Bonnie I found the hat was on the small side (or my babies have enormous heads) I would make one and see. You can always pop it away for a few months. They grow so fast.
Good luck. -

I’ve resized it *up* successfully. I measured the difference between the sizes and followed the trend to redraw the next size up. It worked out just fine, so I suspect that sizing down would, too.

There are lots of bucket hat patterns out there. But I LOVE Oliver+S patterns. Especially after seeing a few blog posts and photos on Pinterest of the bucket hat for infants. So I was disappointed to see the smallest size is 6 months :(. Has anyone successfully sized this pattern down?

Enbee replied to the topic Twirly skirts? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 3 years ago
If you’re also interested in dresses with twirly skirts, the Building Block dress is twirly, and you can add additional fullness to it to make it even twirlier.
In general, I think skirts/skirts of dresses that are cut curved are going to twirl more than skirts that are gathered rectangles – see circle skirts as the extreme example. I’ve made a…[Read more]

I just finished another pair in linen and I’m really happy with the result. One piece of advice I’d offer for linen trousers is that you press the rise seam allowances to one side and edgestitch the rise seam to strengthen it and to prevent “grinning” when the weave opens up because of stress on the seam. Does that makes sense? I can post a photo…[Read more]

The Swingset Skirt has been really popular because it’s quite full and can also be reversible… That might be a good place to start?
