I just made Cashmerette’s new tee, the Concord. Yay I have a TNT pattern again and it only took minor, for me, flat pattern changes and the first one is wearable and will be a great addition to my wardrobe.
I’m also taking in a tshirt and dress, I’ve had to remove an inch from each seam, 6 inches in total. I’m so glad they were princess seamed,…[Read more]

Can I add my dislike of sewing curtains too… We needed to blackout the curtains in the girls room last week as the light was keeping them both awake when it was bedtime. We bought some blackout lining and I just folded over the excess and clipped them onto the hooks with the curtains. No hems at all! Maybe…[Read more]

I managed the jeans but didn’t get the other things done. Have to leave this afternoon so I have no choice but to leave them for when I get back. I will be back in Perth again next week anyhow so hopefully I will have some pj’s and a bathrobe finished in that time also.

No measuring as we live some distance from our sons family, and I wanted the outfit to be a surprise. I think the waistband would fit, and possibly the skirt without a nappy but that’s not going to happen for a 1 yr old. buttonhole elastic is a great idea – thanks for that. I’ll try it on a bigger size

@nan53 did you measure your grand daughter’s hips? My 15 month old has to wear an 18-24 month size on her bottom half just because of her hips! I haven’t as yet made this pattern for her and, knowing it is a slimmer fit skirt, I will do the same and use this size. She is a 12-18 month size in the top half.

Jacket fits well and looks lovely but we couldn’t get the skirt over her disposable nappy. I made the 12-18mths size and am thinking of making another skirt 2 sizes up, and possibly adding a button placket at the centre back for ease of…[Read more]
