I have heard of that happening when people are starting to run low on ink. Could that be it? If not, perhaps there are some other settings in your printer driver you could choose. See if printing in color or with just black and white makes a difference. The grid lines are definitely there and should print for you!

Hi All, I just purchased my first digital pattern and attempted printing. The scale is correct according the the 1″ test square, but the light grey grid is not printing on my Canon printer (printing from Adobe reader). Has this happened to anyone else? I would very much appreciate your suggestions! 🙂 Erin

I don’t know whether it is a true double-faced fabric. The wool layers are loosely woven, so hard to separate, but I haven’t tried stitching over/reinforcing them and going at it, as shown in the blog. More to come. Thank you so much for the links and for your very helpful suggestions. As usual, the O + S pdf was a breeze to put together.

Is it a true double-faced fabric? Because if it is, you can separate the fabric at the edges and tuck the edges in between the layers before hand-stitching to finish it. Very perceptive questions!

1. I gave you a little extra width in the skirt back placket for “turn of cloth” and because the testers felt it was a bit tricky to sew. It felt safer to have a little extra there, but if you match the crease to the line of stay stitching you’ll be fine.

That’s great to hear, @with-love-heidi! My mom made one with a laminate that she’s been using for a long time, too. I need to find time to make one for myself!

I’ve used fusible with good results. I made a wallet with fusible last January and it is still going strong with daily use.

No, it’s fine. I prefer the sew-in interfacing for this project, but if you have fusible and want to use it go ahead. Enjoy!
