When I make bottoms bigger I add to the waistband and the centre back seam.
Could you work backwards from there?
Sorry not to be more help. -

Just saw this post… 2 pairs of size 14 boys school pants will make a size 3 Field trip cargo pants!!
Original pants were worn on the knees, (so excluding the middles of the front pant legs), this is what I had left over:
Two top backs, one top front, and the waist band of both pairs. If I used the original belt loops I would have had more left…[Read more] -

Match the curved edges at the bottom of the pocket. Leave a opening to turn the pocket. The longer pocket piece will fold over towards the back of the pocket.
Does that help? -

Just getting started on the Bear Carrier project and I’m having trouble following the pocket instructions. I get step one, sew the top edges together, and I’m clear on step two, but I’m a bit confused by the directions thereafter. Can anyone clarify?
Thanks! -

I love the color selection. I’ve never seen them before. My middle son prefers snaps on his sleepover pajamas, so these may come in handy there too.

I am wondering what could be done to improve the search function? I just searched for the Fabric Scrooge thread using the forum search box – I typed it in several different ways, in quotation marks, without quotation marks, and it wouldn’t come up at all. I was able to find it easily by typing “Oliver+S fabric scrooge” into Google so it’s not…[Read more]

I had 21 inches of 56″ wide twill, out of which I was determined to make a pair of Field Trip cargos for my son. I managed to cut all the 18-24 month pieces out of that fabric except for the cargo pockets themselves (and the waistband facing which I would have used a lighter fabric for anyway). He’s 1 – I figure he doesn’t need the cargo pockets anyway.
