The culottes are designed to sit at the natural (or actual) waist, and I do think they look better worn that way. I tend to wear most pants and jeans lower on the waist, but I would encourage you to wear these higher. We’ve sort of forgotten where our actual waists are over the past ten years of fashion, haven’t we?

I adore that Paddington outfit – think I favourited every pic of it. Such perfect details.
The three piece set is fab too – have you seen her adult tees (same Liberty….gorgeous) (& sorry – no link – on phone so too hard – but they’re in the Liesl&Co group)

Maybe we need a sew along for knock offs of each other’s work? It is pretty special that set.

They are lovely. I’m with you on Amanda’s three piece set, I have lost count of the times I’ve looked at the pictures of that outfit and coveted it!

Ok thanks Liesl, I will put them away for a while and come back to them, sometimes a ‘fresh’ pair of eyes helps things to click. They look great apart from the waistband not fitting, they are in red suiting so would be great for pre-christmas nights out. I realise there is a lot of work goes into these sew-alongs.

Yes, we could do a sew-along! You may need to give me a little time to prepare for that. We’ve got the School Days Jacket coming up next month, and then the holidays will be upon us, but maybe in January? We’d also like to do a Bistro Dress sew-along.
