I’m afraid I haven’t made this one — hopefully somebody who has will be along soon to chime in!

I checked the forum first to see if anyone else had this issue but could not find anything, so maybe it’s me (sewing at 1am). 😉
I am in the middle of sewing the Garden Party blouse in size 12 using some pretty Liberty Lawn I picked up on sale recently. The illustration on page 2, bottom of column 4 shows the front skirt pattern with 2 notches…[Read more]

Thanks, everybody!
@mkhs, @cybele727 – Oops! Yeah, I can see how the title is misleading on a sewing forum!

I recently mooted the idea of a Paris sewing trip to my Mum, Auntie and cousin. I had found this page suggesting some sewing shops, if it’s of any help to you:- http://atelierclaraines.canalblog.com/archives/2012/09/17/25121595.html
Not sewing related, but I had also saved this:- http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2011/may/06/top-10-cafes-paris…[Read more]

I have recently ordered fabric from France and thought I was getting cotton. I did get cotton. Laminated cotton.…[Read more]

@withloveheidie It is great that your machine was fixed so quick! I daren’t take mine in for fear of being without it for weeks.
@roundtheworldgirl It sounds like the lack of insommnia is a double edged sword, more rest but less sewing! I am thinking of signing up for KCW and just seeing how it goes, I’ve never actually managed the sewing…[Read more]

The sewing machine shop fixed my machine the same day 🙂
I want to do the washing and finish hemming my dress, on the coverstitch, before I go in and get it. -

Also wanted to add: This board doesn’t tend to have that annoying “repeat” phenomenon you see on realllyyyy big ones, where people ask the SAME question over and over again every minute of the day. LOL. We are an easy going (and helpful) bunch ’round these parts.

I don’t mind either way. But I usually do a quick board search first and try and resurrect old threads first, then start a new one if my question isn’t thoroughly answered or truly pertinent. But that is usually because some fantastic advice has been bestowed upon us by all the lovelies here and I like to have all of the tips and tricks all in…[Read more]

By all means, start a new thread if you are in a hurry. I usually resort to Google to find an old thread.

nothing at the moment as preparations for Easter (we celebrated last week) and my late-night sewing tuckered me out. Luckily the insomnia has abated a bit. I signed up for KCWC (next week!) despite my better judgment. My goal is to cut out and sew another Cosi swimsuit for my oldest during that week. The girls have also expressed interest in…[Read more]

Thanks justsewit, I was thinking of making it for my latest granddaughter and I have the smallest size pattern, so thanks for the encouragement. I would measure her if I could only get her to uncurl from that foetus-like knees up position for long enough to use the measuring tape!
