Gelato blouse and dress patternGreat pattern. Was this helpful?Another lovely patternThis went with me to my friend’s house today where we gather twice a month for a sewing day. I’m making this dress in a navy and white pinstripe cotton. Was this helpful? My favourite dressI made two dresses out of this pattern. The second one followed because the fit is so good. I did make some adaptations to use an invisible zipper and neckline facing for the first dress. And the second one is sewn fully lined. Except for shortening the dress to suit my height, nothing else was changed. I really love this fitting so much so that I will try to sew a cropped blouse by chopping off the bottom part of th dress. Let’s see. 😊6 of 6 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful?Gelato DressI printed the PDF it went together really well.. I used a lovely crepe material.. the dress came together beautifully and I made it afternoon .. I highly recommend this pattern and will be making another the perfect work dress 🌟5 of 5 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful?Well-written, versatileBought this for myself but my first make ended up being for a friend -- size 16 view A with view B sleeves and a front opening. The pattern makes up easily and looks great -- enough detail to be fun but constructed well enough to make variations easy. I'll be turning to this often.7 of 7 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful?Gelato dressI used this pattern to resurrect a linen dress I had made two years ago and which looked like a sack on me. The fabric was too pretty to discard! Because of the style of the original dress, I had to adjust the bust dart into a seam line from edge to edge. But that worked and made quite a nice feature. Which was especially good as the dart would have needed adjusting otherwise. It points a bit too high up for my figure. I love the neckline and the bias finish. And the pockets were great fun to make (fortunately I had some fabric remnants to cut them out of). The dress is now totally wearable and I have even received compliments when wearing it. I shall certainly be making it again in the near future. With the longer sleeves it can be perfect for the colder months of the year.9 of 9 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful?Great!I made the frilled top and have plans for making another in the next few days. True to size and flattering. An easy make even for someone who hates gathering up frills.10 of 10 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful? From the Discussion Forums
