digital afternoon tea blouse sewing pattern
Perfect for an afternoon out with friends or a day at the office, this semifitted blouse features a fun chest detail that makes it extra special. Sew the blouse with contrasting fabrics for a color-blocked detail or choose lace or a sheer fabric for the inset stripe. This contemporary take on a vintage blouse eliminates the shoulder seam so the sleeves are easy and fun to sew. The inset panel forms a pretty chevron over the bracelet-length flounce sleeves, and the back features an easy keyhole opening with a button-and-loop closure. This pattern includes separate pieces for A/B, C, and D cups for ease of fitting.

professional results!I've become a great fan of these patterns - great fit, clear instructions, good tips. this pattern was not exception - with the lace insertions meeting up perfectly, making the finished product look professional. Super pleased - makes sewing a joy!Was this helpful?Lovely to sew and to wearI made this in December and loved both the construction and the fit of the shirt. I was really pleased when the attention to detail paid off and all the seams lined up just as they should! I used a synthetic georgette-type fabric for the main body and some leftover Liberty tana lawn for the inset pieces. The fabric was perfect for cooler weather, but I'm already planning a second in lighter fabric for warmer weather! Was this helpful?I love this pattern and the shirt I made. The instructions are excellent. The fit is great, I had one alteration to the dart at the breast because of how mine sit, but that one is expected. I will definitely use this pattern again, this is one of my favorite shirts in my wardrobe now. I used silk linen for the body, a heavy fuzzy fabric on the yoke, and a semi-shear woven cotton for the band, all in black.1 of 1 customers found this helpful. Was this helpful? -
