    The Malaga Pleated Hem Top pattern lets you make a regular-to-loose fitting top with a raglan sleeve design. The pleated hem and cuff give the top a cocoon style shape. The pattern includes two options for the collar (a high neck or V-back), two options for sleeve length, and two options for back hem length. In total, you can make eight different designs from this pattern by mixing the options.

    Suggested Fabrics

    Blouse fabrics or sweatshirt fabric with some body, with or without elastane. Matching facing fabric (optional).

      Sharp looking top

    I made the Malaga Top in a black and white check flannel. I'm very happy with it. The directions were clear except it was hard to tell the top from the bottom of the hem pieces. The neck stands up a little from my shoulders so I wonder if I used the right weight interfacing. There was no recommendation for weight in the directions. Next time I would use a lighter weight and probably wouldn't use interfacing in the hem.
