I love the field trip! These are my goto pants. I have made them 3T with 4 length plus 2×2″ growth hems. I made them last may and they are still going very strongly and we have only let down the first 2″.

Last year I made two pairs of these, in pink and purple, for then 4 year old girl. I made them size 3 width with size 4 length which corresponded to her measurements then. They fit really well at the time.
Eighteen months later they still fit really well and are worn regularly. I added a 4″ growth cuff which we let down 2″ this winter. She…[Read more] -

Hope you get some sewing done Tamara, if only for the sanity!
I finished up the layette jacket yesterday and this afternoon made some matching denim ‘jeans’. I upcycled a pair of jeans from my husband into the layette pants and used the left over Lisette fabric for the pockets. The matching set is gorgeous 🙂 -

I’m concerned about getting a “terminal” degree! . In Australia anything “terminal” is something that will kill you fairly quickly!

I finished a chambray skirt for myself today and traced off the lullaby layette jacket in all sizes! I’m making my first one in some Lisette fabric 🙂

Ah, so it’s like a Subway. I would call it a salad roll, depending on what’s in it. 🙂

I love the charger holder and the socks! One boy In particular I think would love the socks, especially as they would fit, once I up size them for his (currently!) size 13 feet (size 14.5 in North America) 🙂
Thanks for these great ideas 🙂 -

What’s a grinder? Is it a sandwich? Because in Australia its a power tool! Normally an angle grinder, not so good to eat 🙂
Oh, and the three meals a day are breakfast, lunch and tea. Although tea and dinner in this context are interchangeable. Supper is a light snack before bed! -

I just got the patterns I ordered a couple of weeks ago! Lullaby, Garden Party (5-12) and Hide And Seek (5-12). And I realised this afternoon that the garden party may work well as the base for Hermione’s dress.

The shoe cleaning kit makes me smile, especially as the boys wear black school shoes to school everyday 🙂
And yes I do seem to function a lot as that type of aunt, but married 🙂 -
