  • I’m having a laugh at the “below 18”, I don’t think we had one day this week where the maximum was 15 let alone 18 🙂 (temperature conversion for USA 18C=64.4F 15C=59F)
I’ve been working on the WIP box again today. I finished one pair of PJ pants, 3 shirred dolls skirts and one dress up cape. I also discovered the second box is at least half…[Read more]

  • Oh wow, so exciting!
Yes, I have now replied to you. I had to go and find the private messages. Looking forward to sewing up my new patterns 🙂
Thank you, Rachel, Liesl And Todd for running the competition and having great patterns.

  • I’ve a few things in my mending pile, boys are so hard on their knees! I have one pair of synthetic trackies with holes where he’s managed to melt the fabric! It must have been some impressive slides on the floor 🙂
Nicole, I don’t mind mending if I’ve got good company to talk to while I do it 🙂

  • Thanks Nicole 🙂 I got quite a few things finished today. The pram liner, a pullover from before I found Oliver and S, a purple panne velvet cape and I turned a small piece of Christmas patchwork and an off cut of towel into a trivet/hot pad!

  • I’m attacking my WIP box! Most other it is at least 2 year old. So far I have finished a pram liner for over 2 years ago. Now what next?

  • My collar was a bit funny, I had to remove it because I had both packets folded out. I seem to remember fudging it slightly and relying on the stretch of the knit to make it work. Sorry I can’t be more specific 🙁

  • I wrote up a list of Oliver and S patterns that only used half a yard a while ago. I’ll see it i can find it.
I remember the badminton top and Swingset tunic being on there. I think you’ll need some contrast fabric to make it work.

  • I just finished my first Jelly Roll Race quilt top! 3 hours start to finish, including cutting 40 2.5″ fabric strips and the pressing at the end 🙂
Back to work tomorrow, I probably won’t get nearly as much sewing done during the week 🙁

  • How frustrating Tamara!
I’m trying my first straight stitch society pattern, I have all the pieces cut for the Have It All Wallet. Now to see if I can find the interfacing!

Sewing friends sure are the best
Better than all of the rest
    They’re there every time

  • Sarvi, I use the large messenger bag as is 🙂 I can fit an A4 notebook, wallet, phone, drink bottle and lunch. And there’s often a little space left for some shopping, fabric of course 🙂
This is the 3rd one I’ve made myself, it’s the bag I use every day. I must get photos of the original one I made that shows the wear marks 🙂 I’ve made 3…[Read more]
