Nicole replied to the topic Has anyone paired the B6183 top with the Everyday Skirt? in the forum liesl + co: everyday skirt 9 years ago
I wore my Everyday skirt through out my last pregnancy with a fitted black tee. I quite liked that silhouette.

Liesl Gibson replied to the topic spring 2015 patterns – when?? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 9 years ago
Thanks for asking about this! I’m sorry to report that we won’t be releasing any new Oliver + S patterns this spring. All of my energies have been going into the upcoming book, which will be ready in early September. In the meantime, later this months we will be announcing some new Lisette patterns for summer. And come September you can also…[Read more]

Yes, I think it’s fine for older kids. You might need the buttons for smaller kids. It’s a proportion thing; little kids have much larger heads compared to their overall body size. It can be quite a challenge when I’m developing patterns!

Lightning McStitch replied to the topic bodice lining in the forum oliver + s: fairy tale 9 years ago
You’ll hand stitch the lining to the zipper in one of the final steps.
If you read the last steps it should be mentioned there. Meanwhile, just follow the instructions and it will all come together beautifully. -

PS Interface the collar and facings as normal as well as the extra at the button holes.

Ha ha ha @Enbee, it gave me a good laugh.
I follow the rule you can make most woven patterns with knits (if you take great care) but not the other way.
I would indeed interface the button holes and where you sew the buttons (an extra square where they would go) and handle the fabric gently when sewing. Stay stitching the neck will be very…[Read more]

@thejennigirl How lovely you are.
As a girl I was very tiny but full busted and it was hard to find nice clothes.
You are correct, my Twins are quite a different size. They have full derrieres but are very small chested. They ‘out grew’ O+S pattern before they ‘grew out’ of the size range, IYKWIM?May I suggest the Liesl+Co Bento tee? I made the…[Read more]

Hi Ann, I found this and it seems like it might be useful:

But if anybody has actually done it themselves or knows of a great tip please chime in!

Nicole replied to the topic Flickr troubles? in the forum off topic 9 years ago
@enbee I have found they change instantly. If one of my photos get tagged with one of those explore ‘awards’ I make the photo ‘private’ (which gets rid of the 50 random favourites and odd comments) and then change it back to public.

Nicole replied to the topic Flickr troubles? in the forum off topic 9 years ago
@enbee I can only add my story. If I upload photos, privately, they seem to stay that way, even after I change the settings, for a period of time.
If I want a photo to be public, I upload it publicly.
Flickr can be a bit temperamental.
I am sorry not to be more help.

Masha Richart replied to the topic Increasing rise as well as length? in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 9 years ago
I have had to do this a lot. It sounds like my daughter is built similarly to your son – if I was going by the size chart she would wear a 2 with the length of a 7! I was given a bit of advice by Liesl a couple years ago, though, to only size down the width a couple sizes from the length, to preserve proportions. I find that this works for…[Read more]

Lightning McStitch replied to the topic Puppet theatre windows in the forum oliver + s: little things to sew 9 years ago
Hi Connie @totter2
Fusible web is like double sided interfacing. It’s used to stick two different fabrics together.
If you want white windows, you’d have to cut rectangles of white fabric and use fusible web to stick it down.
Thus, your windows can be whatever you want them to be.
If you don’t have fusible web, you could use fabric glue, or pins…[Read more] - Load More
