late September is edging into spring, right? I’d say something that you could layer because you never know if it will be chilly or beautiful weather. maybe a Library dress or carousel in white flannel?

so the angst with regard to a magnum opus was not unfounded, but i am overall pleased with the result. I drafted a princess-seamed full circle skirt with long sleeves.
Silk dupioni lined in cotton voile, with embroidered organza sleeves and veil. I bought silk organza and was going to do the embroidery myself, but chanced upon some leftover from…[Read more]

I have finished the coat! Thanks @justsewit about the advice for the sizing. I forgot to size up to a 12 at the hips, but it was no bother in the end- you can’t tell. It fits great in my humble opinion!
I also found it easier to flat fell the arms with the sleeve turned in the right way and sewing inside the sleeve so to speak. I started doing…[Read more]
