Do you guys know if this is Tana (Liberty’s lawn) or the Japanese cotton lawn Spotlight had before? Nicole sent me some of that and I have been hoarding it. It’s gorgeous, with a crisper hand than Tana, I think it will hold pleats better and I have it in mind for a Music Class blouse. If I had eggs like those, really fresh, I bet I’d eat loads of them. Supermarket eggs are really sad specimens. Pale yolks, shells barely there. I splurged on proper eggs from the farmer’s market today. Had to queue for them!
Moussaka sounds fab.

Oh, very good point. Habu is a bit like that. The long-suffering non-crafting friend who went with me referred to it as a ‘yarn speakeasy’ 🙂

Great comments, ladies, thank you for chiming in!
I too have a big stash that’s a result of buying things I love without a specific plan for them. Once I started using apparel fabrics I really preferred them, and that was helpful in cutting back some of the impulse buying, as these fabrics don’t come out on the same kind of schedule as new…[Read more]

What kinds of things to do you like to sew? Do you prefer fun prints and quilting cottons, or do you prefer to use apparel fabrics? Purl Soho is a tad pricy but has a lot of great ‘fun’ fabrics and is definitely a one-stop shop with everything crafty you can imagine. You can have a look online to get a feel for what they carry.
