This can be great fun.
The person who finishes the limerick starts the next one.
Lets see if this takes off….Here we go 🙂
I have so many patterns already…. -

I used to do limericks with an international chum and the results were so funny.
I would rhyme llama with banana, for example.I should start a thread here…..
I will, and see if anyone plays along.

I did get some sewing time in this week – a Bess dress & a tee for me, but aren’t feeling the vibe today.
As for Christmas sewing – I don’t have much planned, but I do want to make up some tote bags for teachers’ presents (although no biggie if I fail on this – they all get a tin full of caramel slice and one of my mum’s gorgeous felt Xmas…[Read more]

Heidi, you are kind, you remind of an Aunt of mine who never wed. She made us the most amazing gifts, we adored her.
My go-to teen boy gift is a shoe bag, like the drawstring bag in the LTTS book (I know you have that). I also like to pop a small pack of wet ones and some Scuff Stuff shoe polish in it.
Voila, a travellers shoe cleaning kit.

Christmas sewing?? I haven’t even thought of Christmas sewing! I am still sewing for baby and squeezing in a few things for the big kids. I have a funeral to sew for soon which even though it is the most morbid of events to sew for I really need to start on, just in case it is all in a rush!
I will have to give Christmas sewing a miss this year I…[Read more]

I need some ideas. I have a few teenage boys I’d like to give something small to for end of year/Christmas. I’d prefer to make it but I’m struggling with ideas.
I had thought about the earphone pouches like Nicole made for her midwives. https://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/15298456187/
Has anyone with teenage boys got any good ideas? thanks Heidi -

I’ve started my Christmas sewing, in fact I started back in September as soon as I finished the last birthday of the year. 🙂
I think I’m about half way through. One of the biggest I was sewing is Elsa’s corronation dress with cape and gloves. The dress is done but not cape or gloves. I’m not sure how I’m going to make gloves! The other big…[Read more]

Swimsuit or bathing suit for swimming, crayons for coloring, and I think I’ll avoid saying ‘dag’ until I’ve spotted it in the wild a few more times, I don’t want to inadvertently offend.
It’s interesting the way meanings change over time, too. Both geek and punk were once things you’d never want to call yourself.

b) crayon
We definitely call it Maccas! What do you call what you wear swimming?
a) swimmers
b) togs
c) bathers
d) other?
This is one which changes across Australia depending on which state you are from! Thankfully both the states I’ve lived in call them bathers 🙂 - Load More
