Polartec Power Stretch fabric is awesome! That’s what all my winter running clothes are made from.;)

I’ve finished the garden party top. It was a lovley sew, I very much enjoyed just following the instructions and making no changes this time 🙂
I think I’ll spend some time Doing buttons and buttonholes today. I don’t normally leave them but I have a Seashore sundress and an Art Museum Vest that both need them.

I saw footage last night on the news. Having a huge dumping of snow would be like having floods here – complete disaster!

I pray for the families of those that have lost their lives. It would be very tragic to lose someone just because of a huge downfall of snow.

Hilarious! Meleliza I don’t think it is too corny because you are using elements that are the same not dressing exactly alike, right?

I think it will be a very sweet tribute to the day and event.

If it’s an issue with a place not being able to print just one page of a PDF, you can always split the file and send just the page(s) that are the large format sheets.

I do this with the full version of Adobe Acrobat. It has the option of deleting pages in a PDF. Save the file under a new name and delete all pages but the last.

Costs me $9.00 in Canada at my local print shop. Call a place that prints blue prints. You’ve been working on this for a long time.

What about these from Land’s End? They’re no longer for sale, and the reviews are sketchy, but the picture might be enough to get you started. I swear Sophie had a pair like these and I loved them.

I wear these kind of leggings almost every day – I’m wearing them right now! Hopefully the attached will show you what the two sides of the fabric look like. I did a quick search and found yardage here: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product/kelly+polartec+power+stretch+fabric.do

I can tell you what I do, I am not sure if it is the proper way.
Lay your garment out and let it relax. Trace the pattern piece on to the garment, a sharpie is good.
Try snipping somewhere, not needed, on the garment and see how fast it unravels. If it is not too bad, cut and sew promptly. If it frays a lot, cut, zigzag edges first and then sew…[Read more]

The plan is to stick the feet up whenever possible. I just have to figure out how I can do that while I am sewing!
