I have received an unusual email from “Kate Smith” who claims to have read my profile (I don’t have one); and wants to ‘contact’ for friendship. Is this person the spammer? Can anyone on forum help? I don’t want to be rude if the email is legitimate.

That sounds like great advice, Tarama (@justsewit)! And I’m flattered that you turned to one of our pattern to learn the technique, @carries12345. Keep us posted on how it turns out!

Practice the dart with some scraps before you sew it! You might want a little stabilizer, too, depending on your fabric.

I think it depends on your fabric, too. But yes, if you have a 4″ difference between your high and regular bust measurements, I’d think you’ll probably want to do a FBA.
I’m working on a peplum top from this pattern right now. I’m using a very drapey woven fabric, so I’ve gone up 4 sizes to get an oversized look. But I think if I had a fuller…[Read more]

@cat75 I’ll preface my response by saying I have no bust so haven’t done so myself, but I suspect you should.
It’s a top with a moderately wide neckline and a dropped shoulder. If you go with your full bust size you might find the whole thing too saggy sack like.
With a decent high/full bust difference if you fit to your high bust/shoulder it may…[Read more] -

The Concord is a great pattern, I loved how few alterations needed to be made to it, added length being the main one here too Tamara 🙂
I’ve just made my first pair of Jalie Eleonore stretch jeans. I’m very impressed, I only needed to add length (4″) and I have wearable pants straight off the pattern! -

I am most interested! I love seeing how people fix up new homes, and I’m sure your stylish crew will give the new place a fantastic look. How lovely to have a city home in addition, for when you want a change of pace!

I just made Cashmerette’s new tee, the Concord. Yay I have a TNT pattern again and it only took minor, for me, flat pattern changes and the first one is wearable and will be a great addition to my wardrobe.
I’m also taking in a tshirt and dress, I’ve had to remove an inch from each seam, 6 inches in total. I’m so glad they were princess seamed,…[Read more] - Load More
