Argh, image too large. Looking at it now, i think it’s close enough.

Here’s a photo. Is that a negligible difference?

Oh, I understand what to do. But the bold lines weren’t lining up. I’ll post a picture. It might be that it’s a small enough difference not to matter…

I just printed this out and am pieceing it together. I’m having trouble getting parts 4 (waistband) to line up with each other. I checked that my scaling is correct. Help!

miss_sonja started the topic Excited to sew the Everyday Skirt! in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 9 years ago
I’ve been toying with trying the Everyday Skirt–I rarely sew for myself, usually crafts or for the kids. But the “Yay, we won” sale had me going ahead and buying it, and now I get to sew something for myself.
And I admit I also bought the Bedtime Story pjs. I’d given up on finding paper copies (which I much prefer), so the digital on sale will…[Read more]

Thanks for the replies. I don’t have any knit interfacing, so unless I find some in the next week or so, I’ll give it a try without. I’m toying with the idea of colour blocking it with fleece and quilting cotton. Could be cute!

I’m planning a Nature Walk for my little guy out of fleece. Do I still need to use interfacing on the facings/collar? I recollect reading that fleece shouldn’t be ironed…
Tips please!

I picked up a Simplicity pattern recently, 2526 (toddler coat, jacket, hat and pants), mostly for the pants, but I overbought fleece so I decided to try the coat.
OMG, am I missing Liesl’s detailed instructions! There seem to be huge gaps in the instructions and the illustrations are almost useless. I’m not too worried about how it’ll go…[Read more]

miss_sonja started the topic Finally made my Metro T in the forum liesl + co: metro t-shirt 10 years ago
Washed fabric (Kaufman Laguna knit), got pattern printed and put together and little one napped long enough for me to sew up my first sewing project for me to wear (other than costumes).
The knit was hard to work with for someone used to quilting cottons. It was wriggly and tough to get the edges smooth for pinning the pattern and ditto sewing.…[Read more]

I’d love that too. The big 3 have tons of PJ patterns but I don’t know how good they are.

Wish I’d seen this when they were still on sale…those are the only kind of pants my DH wears and they’re tough to find in nicer fabrics.

@miss_sonja they were only 15% off, which for a normally $11 pattern wasn’t a huge discount. It’s a PDF-only pattern, so the price is pretty good!

Wow, you are all quite creative. Here’s what is making my storage tough–patterns like the Metro T for women. I’ve got it taped together and it’s awkward and big, won’t fold down that well since it’s on regular printer paper.
I’ll try the folders for the kid traced patterns. I mostly sew for my 2 year old so his patterns are quite small.

Now that I’ve been sewing clothes, the patterns are piling up. Not the envelopes, but the traced patterns, the printouts of PDF patterns etc. Where do you all store them? Mine are so far just stacked and folded over once gently and in a banker’s box. This is not ideal.
Thoughts? Ideas? What works for you?
