Hi Susan,
Just wondering if your material selection had any bearing on the fit.
I have found that not all stretch fabric are the same, some have so much more stretch than others. I made t-shirts for my son when he was young, same pattern different interlock fabric, one fitted great and the other one we couldn’t get over his head. Just a thought. Cybele727, have I missed something, is there a new pattern coming soon?
Getting excited now.

Can anyone tell me what would be the perfect material for nighties and pyjamas in an American winter. The grandchildren will be in New York for christmas and I wasn’t sure how cold or hot it would be in an apartment considering they have central heating.
I thought flannelette but my granddaughter is always hot, so what about interlock or would that be not warm enough. Thanks

Oh Sarvi, it was a scorcher. Its just summer coming a bit early, we usually have high 30″s and only a week or two thru the summer in the 40″s. Roll on autumn I say, it does look like we could have a bad bushfire season and not just in NSW. Western Australia has had some very severe fires already. Today its only in the 20’s so time to catch up on housework and getting things done for christmas before the heat returns.

Love these dresses, the material in the second photo is just stunning. Good luck with the sewing and fitting and please let us know the end results. Now I want to go and sew after all this inspiration.
Nicole, good luck with the party, hope the weather is perfect and all goes well. A very happy birthday to Hugo, gosh the years are flying by it’s hard to believe he will be 18.

Helena, I would love to put my hand up for the “textile arts” bits and bobs. I belong to a quilt group that makes quilts and laundry bags for “Aussie Heros” men and women in the armed forces. Each one is made to match their specific favourite things (e.g. camels, football teams etc) and also another group that makes quilts for kids going thru cancer treatment. We are always looking for different things to add to the quilts to make them special. If you let me know how much postage is and I will reimburse you. Thank you. Sherry

@Dubhels2003 There is an Australian pattern company
that has some blouse patterns similar to what you looking for. They also send you a free pattern with each pattern order and their size range goes from size 4 to 30 so covers everyone. I love both blouses particularly the hot pink. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Thats lovely, I hope Noah enjoyed the march. It is so nice to see the little ones taking such an interest this year. My 7yr granddaughter sang “The Last Anzac” at assembly yesterday, it is such a beautiful song and the words just touched my heart, it is a tribute to Alex Campbell who died not so long ago, but a moving tribute to all soldiers.

The dog had a slight accident on his bed, so DIL put it all in the front loader washing machine with extra washing liquid, disinfectant etc. Consequently too many bubbles and it was about a foot deep all through the laundry.
My grandson (4 years old) went passed and yelled out *Ohh no the washing machine has vomitted everywhere”. I can’t walk passed the laundry without laughing now.

Lotta, what a thoughtful thing to do, thank you. I have downloaded and will print them all onto card stock, then cut out inside the lines to place over fabric to help granddaughter imagine what each outfit will look like finished.
Also going to give her mum a copy so they can work out next seasons wardrobe. Great way to build a wardrobe and have everything mix and match. So thank you for all your effort. Sherry

Tamara, I am in Sydney and have ordered many times from Shaukat, their delivery is quite fast between 1-2 weeks. Ordered material from Rocywoods in USA, still waiting that was 12 weeks ago.
I was thinking of Book Report dress with plain pink on the bottom as Miss Fussy’s birthday is the end of February.
Congratulations on your beautiful new arrival, I bet she is getting lots of attention.

I have just found the Alice in wonderland fabric at shaukat.co.uk They have it in pink, light blue and yellow for 14.25 (english pounds) (my keyboard doesn’t have a pounds symbol). It’s under seasonal spring 2015 it anyone is interested.
Granddaughters birthday next month, so maybe a dress in that fabric and a matching book.
Which O & S dress pattern would suit that fabric, any suggestions would be appreciated.
