    I did 😉

I wish I could sew but can not
My children want supper, what rot!
    I just want to stitch
    (and perhaps to be rich)
But such skills are for free, I forgot.

Making costumes for free is such fun

    This can be great fun.
The person who finishes the limerick starts the next one.
    Copy/paste and add your line.
Lets see if this takes off….

    Here we go 🙂
I have so many patterns already….

I used to do limericks with an international chum and the results were so funny.
I would rhyme llama with banana, for example.

    I should start a thread here…..

I will, and see if anyone plays along.

Heidi, you are kind, you remind of an Aunt of mine who never wed. She made us the most amazing gifts, we adored her.

My go-to teen boy gift is a shoe bag, like the drawstring bag in the LTTS book (I know you have that). I also like to pop a small pack of wet ones and some Scuff Stuff shoe polish in it.

Voila, a travellers shoe cleaning kit.

I love the new format but it takes a long time to load, longer then Flickr.

    Nearly finished Trixie’s Bubble dress.
It is so cute it should be compulsory sewing.

  • Nicole replied to the topic What are you sewing now? in the forum off topic 9 years ago

I finished Trixie’s Bubble dress up to hand sewing the bodice and buttons/buttonholes. Hugo was studying for exams so her nursed *held* her so I could get stuck in.
I couldn’t finish the sewing as the house was filling with insects. I have no idea how they all got in but they were going for the lights. So annoying as Jed was reaping until 1:30 and…[Read more]

Justine is spot on with dag.
The dress style of ‘daggy’ is less complimentary, ‘dag’ is more affectionate.

A true dag is a product of sheep waste and wool, don’t google image it.

    Crayon here.

We now regularly use ‘amaze balls’ and ‘awesome sauce’ in our current vernacular. We call them ‘britterism’s’ from the awesome Brittney.
