I love both tops. The Maritime I am nervous about because I haven’t sewn much with Knits. I have the hopscotch pattern though and I am going to make a few of them for my daughter (I already made 1 last week) and if they turn out OK I will try the Maritime. I love that style.
I love the Gallery tunic most. I can see me making many of those…[Read more]

I finished up a City Stroll Skirt on Mother’s Day. I’m just getting photos edited to post tomorrow. I had to have it after seeing Liesl’s at Craft South!!

I ordered the tunic and the knit top– as well as the everyday skirt on paper. So yes! I enjoy sewing the same thing again and again, so I look for classic yet interesting lines. I’m a slow sewer, and when making things for myself I like to make a piece and then wear it for a long time while thinking about what changes I’ll make the next time…[Read more]

I LOVE both tops and if this month were not so insanely busy I’d have ordered and made them already. I absolutely love the Maritime top, it’s one of my favorite styles and I have a few that all have something sligh…[Read more]

Hey all, I asked Todd to create this group so we’d have a place to easily discuss sewing for ourselves. So first question: feedback on the new Liesl + Co patterns? Are these styles you want to sew for yourself?

Just had the most fantastic jacket potatoe dinner with friends 🙂 Jacket potatoes, tomato mince sauce (spag bol sauce), grated cheese, bacon, corn on the cob as well as tomatoes, carrot and cucumber sticks.
There were 9 of us, 4 adults, 2 6′ tall teenagers, and 3 kids. I cooked 14 large potatoes but next time I think I need 20 potatoes, I…[Read more] -

Hey all, I just sewed my first entredeux and was SHOCKED at how easy it was! I’ll do a little tutorial for the Butterfly Dress sew-along. I was thinking I’d do a little pintucking tutorial, too, using a double needle and a pintucking foot. All these new (to me) techniques! Very fun, and so much simpler than I expected.
-
What? You are kidding right? They are so simple you are right but you know I thought the same when I first tried them. They are such pretty techniques. I am very glad there are tutorials coming about them all. But, I thought the butterfly was a top?
-
Ack, yes, the Butterfly Top! No idea why I said dress. In any case, I love these techniques.

@rhythm, watermelon salad sounds amazing! I’ll definitely be trying that! I’m excited that you have lots! Lunch is what I struggle with most while trying to eat more vegetarian.
@roundtheworldgirl I’m glad you liked it!! I do a good bit of vegan as well, especially dessert 🙂 I love vegan dessert. I don’t know why haha

Thank you for starting this thread. My family is vegetarian. We generally cook a lot of Indian food at home. I have a massive load of those recipes. I made this watermelon salad for dinner yesterday.
Mix together pieces of watermelon, slices of red onion, red and green peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, toasted walnuts, and a handful of mint leaves.…[Read more]
