Nothing dramatic at all about feeling as though your child is a gift. Congrats, glad all is well now.

Oh my. Hopeless overachievers, the whole lot of you! 😉

I press them good and walk away.

I would imagine the five would be okay. I’ve found, however, that many nightgown patterns have wide necklines and shoulders and slip off my girls’ shoulders if I’m not careful in sizing.

I’ve made them all except the Nature Walk and for my kids who are slim but average height I have found the After School to be the slimmest. They’re easy to pull on for little ones, too.

I still have to size my oldest daughter down in width on everything, she’s 11. It’s not difficult, I just have focus carefully when I trace my pattern pieces so I don’t forget to be consistent in my adjustments.

The view in my phone is wonderful!

I was picturing the Keymaster from “Say Anything”, that 80s movie.

A few years ago I made fleece slipper socks for everyone in our extended family. The men and boys loved them and have asked frequently since then if they can have a new pair.

I bought the pattern at Joanns but it can also be purchased online here. They’re the Polar Socks for adults and kids.

Also not a dealbreaker, but when I read from my phone the right margin of the post bleeds off the edge where I can’t see it. I tried to shrink my screen, no luck. It’s just off the edge. I use a Galaxy S5 so the screen is plenty large.

I live in the Northwest part of the US and most people call it pop.

My kids would argue you into the ground that “jinx buy me a coke/soda/pop” isn’t real or long standing. It is in their world!

Soda as in coke, pepsi, rootbeer….soda pop.

When I was a kid we played it that when jinx was called the other person couldn’t speak until someone said their name. My kids play it “jinx buy me a soda” which of course never happens. Lame. 😉

I’m afraid my method isn’t very attractive but it’s functional: If it didn’t come with an envelope or my tracings have outgrown the original envelope I use Ziploc bags or accordion folders (like a manila file folder but 3 sides are closed). If I have more than one size traced I keep the pieces of each size pinned together. All of it lives in a file cabinet.

Believe me, it’s not something pretty you’d find on Pinterest but it works for me. 🙂
