Sarvi replied to the topic Neckline of lunch box tee too small in the forum oliver + s: lunch box tee + culottes 11 years ago
I’m afraid I haven’t made the size 2, but the size 4 fit my 5 year old really nicely. I had a peek and didn’t see any other size 2s in the pool. Might be good to note to measure the recipient’s head circ. in case a smaller or larger neck opening is needed.

Ha! Just turned my Firefly Jacket the right way out and had to do a happy dance for how those sleeves work. Very impressed!

Thank you sosew.
I am so grateful to Janice, Deb and Amanda, for organising the sew along.
Or Trixie would be wearing Hugo’s old coat. -

Hurrah @sosew, you finished, well done.
Trixies is a bit big but as the wool is so soft, moulds about her and is definitely wearable!

Cute @Sarvi, but remember on our (possibly) smaller building plans everything is in metres which are bigger than yards, so it’s you guys who are living in buildings that are 11% too small! 🙂
Just tried the local print shop again… New owners and enough requests mean they’ve bought a roll that is wide enough. However they have a minimum $15…[Read more]

Hilarious what autocorrect “thinks” the word should be! That’s funny.
So glad to hear you are regaining you sewjo.I didn’t get a stitch of sewing done yesterday but today I will be in the sewing room to sew those bodysuits that I wanted to work on yesterday and if I am quick will get on with the puppet show tunic also.
This will clear the tray…[Read more]

Was feeling a bit off today so I sat the kids in front of the TV and retreated to the basement. Finished the boy’s sleepsack (just in time, it got cold again tonight) and sewed him a new pair of LTTS mittens out of the remaining fleece. My sewjo may be coming back!
(BTW, my autocorrect tried to change “sewjo” to “sewage.”)

I use it for a checklist and (dangerously) a shopping list too for all the ones I haven’t got and want!

Right, Shelley, I understand what you’re saying about different standards for print sizes, but I keep picturing what plans look like for even a simple building project — they easily run to thirty or forty pages. It seems counterintuitive that it would be 10x the cost to Australian builders, especially when you can’t fit as much information and…[Read more]

It’s time for my favourite show
But to the sewing room I surely must go
A project is waiting
With smocking and plaiting
It’s a difficult row I must hoe.(I am not a good starter… but here’s my attempt).
