OK outgrown my 15 year old basic brother. I do a lot of garment sewing (maybe a garment a week) and now getting into quilting (mostly random blocks and incorporating into pouches/totes) but hoping to make 5 bed quilts this year.

So DD wanted some lovely 4 way stretch knit. I am wondering would it work for this dress? it seems a tad thin for the top bodice part but drapes well for the skirt?

I made a version of the culottes but more as a wide leg pant for my 7yo. She wants a fabric jeweled belt as featured on the blog a while ago. But I really think adding a large attached sash that could be tied into a large bow would look great with a cropped cardi or tucked in tee. Anyone have dimensions for a sash belt for a 7/8 kids size?

Where do you purchase fine corduroy that could be used for dresses/jumpers? I’m not having any luck especially in a print.

Wow finally finished the Hide and Seek. It looks great and so professional. I didn’t have an automatic buttonhole on my machine, so wondering if it will be quicker to add a zipper to the back yoke? Anyone done this?

Thanks Tamara for the detailed tips. So this particular pattern will have a lining however what if I was to embroider some of the skirt part (like outline a design of the fabric) or for any other skirt part that doesn’t have a lining.
