Matching across the front and back crotch isn’t too hard, it’s the A line side seams that would be nasty to match.
I straightened the side seams to vertical for my Gaultier tartan pair.

My six-year-old vastly prefers knits to wovens. I make a lot of Playtime leggings for her. They are her very favorite thing to wear. She also really likes a knit dress I made for her by lengthening the Sailboat top pattern. That said, she will wear most dresses. She does not love collars but I can usually talk her into them. The dress turned out fantastic and she looked very grown up – the Principal even commented on how pretty it was and her shoes! Alas I didn’t get to take a photo – hands full with a wriggly baby. Now it is covered in meatball sauce and needs a wash.
