Maybe we should ask @FrancesSuzanne to do tips on heirloom sewing AND internet stuff. One of them is a graphic designer and can rock the web!

*From memory* you will need to add maybe an inch or so to the top of the shorts?
I would add extra, sort of pin (with safety pins) the skirt and shorts together, and try them on the child.

If you take out the placket, make sure the skirt will be wide enough to pull up.

I found the Sunday Brunch a fait-to-generous fit. I would not have layered it over a jumper (sweater) but my girls always got a good amount of wear from their corresponding size.

The added bonus is it looks really cute a little fitted.

@Deb Yes, tucks on the lullaby layette would be super sweet!! Don’t you want to do the math for US?? @withloveheidi Growth tucks = GENIUS!!! Must remember that… @justsewit Sewing crosshatched tucks are in our near future :). We’ve not attempted these yet, so wish us luck!

Whenever possible, I use the tucked hem method on O+S patterns. On occasion, I’ve made 2 tucks on the hem and added embroidery on one of the tucks.

I’d like to see pin tucks on the Lullaby (onesie). You could figure out how much width to add to the front pieces saving me the effort (LOL!) because as you know my sewing room is in dispose.

Least worn: just about anything I made when my oldest was 2 or 3. She was SO picky about clothes. I had a gorgeous gray corduroy Jumprope View B that I think got worn five times, and only after much cajoling and threatening.

I think my most worn garments are the two matching floral Jump Rope dresses I made when Sofia was 3. They both wore them a lot and now Sofia has started wearing the pink one I made Isabel.

Least worn was also an After School set, and the Class Picnic shorts I made Isabel. But Sofia found those and started using them for gym so all hope isn’t lost.

My sweet Liddy turned 11 today and I made her a red sunhat, at her request.

Great topic Nicole! I think my most worn items would be all the Class Picnic blouses I’ve made. Not only does my little fusspot love the style, they seem to fit for years and then get passed on to my niece who wears them for years. Great for summer but equally good layered for cooler months.
