I might have to resist the quilthome website! I’m trying but my fingers are a bit twitchy.
I’m waiting to see what the liberty cord is like. The cotton I’ve gone for is Wiltshire Berry and Claire Aude. I also love Mirabelle but I may wait until the spring for that.
My husband keeps trying to see what I’m typing and has said: Oh no. Not girl porn again!
Nicole, isn’t it lovely? I just placed City Weekend order #2 with Quilt Home. Four more yards of knit! Yummy! With the discount code, it was like getting free shipping!
He he Robyn , when my last baby was born my girlfriend gave me a book ‘Porn for New Mothers’ it was full of pictures of gorgeous men making meals , running baths, baby sitting , giving foot rubs ….. Fabulous!
Your right Shasta , I will be giving quilthome a big push I am so chuffed with them
ooooo, Robyn – Wiltshire is my all time favourite fabric!!!! Can’t wait to see what you make with it!!!
The Claire Aude has arrived. I’ve never touched Liberty fabric before – despite going to Liberty!!!! Oh oh oh! Amazing. Silky. If there’s some leftover I’m going to use it for a scarf for moi.
I’ve only bought a teeny bit of Wiltshire – so I’m going to team it with another fabric for something. A little flash of gorgeousness!
Still haven’t made the leap to Liberty! I did find a few things on sale at fatquartershop — a red cotton & linen with a sort of chambray effect, and a quilting cotton with little blue flowers with red centers from French General. Thinking of a Sunday Brunch Jacket and Skirt, maybe with a coordinating blouse?
I bought some of that lovely Japanese bunny print that Amy/badskirt sells at Mathilda’s Market on Saturday! Now, what shall I make with it??…………….
Picked up another yard of knits yesterday! The pink this time (thanks Nicole, for the encouragement!) for one more Hopscotch dress. But, even better than this is that my local shop has FINALLY gotten the O+S patterns! They had a whole stand of them and another small table devoted to Leisl’s Principles of Fabric booklet! All the ladies were so excited, but surely not as much as I! 🙂
moodfabric.com just posted some nice cotton voiles on their Facebook page.
I went to Spotlight on Saturday http://www.flickr.com/photos/motherof5/8994307254/ and purchased some interfacing, ribbons and some silky cotton to make a Jumprope dress for Tilly inspired by this pin http://pinterest.com/pin/73676143876501338/ .
I am determined only to purchase fabric for soon to be made garments now!
(Wish me luck, he he)
PS Mimmy, I dream of going to Mood…..
I ordered a bit of Mo Willems Pigeon fabric and it came in the mail today. Off to make teacher presents out of it.
Oh, I’ve been waiting for that! I want it for a lining for a messenger bag.
I recently bought 3 yards of upholstery fabric at Ikea. I’m not sure what to make. Perhaps I will try a bag or light jacket.
I didn’t know about the pigeon fabric. My daughter is a huge fan of Mo Willems. I have plans for Elephant and Piggie shirts, but now I must get this fabric for her. Off to search for an online source.
I went a little nuts while in the States, so I vowed to only buy project-specific fabric over the next year (and then only for projects that I will sew shortly after receiving the fabric). But mother-in-law gave me some money for my birthday that was meant for me to buy fabric for clothes for myself. So last week I ordered several yards of a navy cotton dobby shirting and matching cotton voile, which will become a Washi dress. I also picked up some lovely coral cotton with jacquard dots on it. No idea what it will be, but as I got three yards I should have a range of options!
Oh, just reread this thread – needless to say, I have yet to use that bunny fabric…..
