I have heard a lead pencil rubbed over the teeth can help.
11 years ago LINKTamara @justsewitRighto! I will try both methods in the morning. Thank you.
Up to hand stitching the collar lining and sewing on buttons on this rather spiffy sketchbook shirt. Next, eating something and then green shorts cause the red was too red!
Feeling rather sleepy but have to push on as the boy needs a pair of short with this shirt. Some food should do it!
I was hoping to get some pj bottoms done for miss 10 also but may have to whip them up in the morning.
11 years ago LINKMama_Knowles @Mama_KnowlesOh my, I bet you tired Tamara! I should have cam over to sew with you, I’m sure we would of had some fun. 🙂
Today a baby first Christmas bib ans a set of pj’s for Mr G. Tonight I will be makoing a stuffed critter for Caspian for his stocking. Not too much before Christmas but I have some dresses/ doll dresses to be made after Christams for New Years Eve.
11 years ago LINKmeleliza @melelizaOn our way to Mass but I just had to share how excited K was to receive the matching baby doll dress. She’s simply thrilled to be in her “pe-ty dess” and she’s showing her doll the mirror and her brother how they both have a big red bow in back. 🙂 pictures soon, I promise!
11 years ago LINKTamara @justsewitOh it sounds wonderful – all their holiday finery!
I’m up early to go and sew that pair of shorts and hopefully finish the big kid pjs. It is 5.25 am and the sun was streaming in behind the blind so I’m up, getting a coffee and off to work we go!
Need to be at the parents by 4pm at the latest to go to the crib service at 5pm so think I have a bit of time if it is handled carefully enough.
11 years ago LINKwith love Heidi @with love HeidiGood luck justsewit! Off the get the last 6 buttons and some more sticks for the glue gun to finish off the wands and I’m all good to go!
11 years ago LINKTamara @justsewitWell it is 9am and I have completed one pair of sketchbook shorts in green drill and ……. One pair of shortie pjs for the girl and hemmed the t shirt to go with Ns pj bottoms. I am starving hungry for breakfast, there is no coffee left (I drank it all) and now … I have to pack the family for our speedy last minute decision trip to my parents!
Sharon yes we would have an absolute ball sewing together I think! I forgot about the kids putt the tree up so we have to go sooner than first thought! I’m playing Scrooge at home!
Anyway… Done with the sewing for now. I will endeavour to hand stitch the relevant bits before wrapping them tonight, so long as I can sleep on the trip!
Have a wonderful time with your families and friends everyone and make sure you put your (sewing) feet up!

11 years ago LINKneedlewoman @needlewomanCongratulations Mo5!! I hope you can enjoy some well earned rest, soon. Happy Christmas.
11 years ago LINKmeleliza @meleliza7pm on Christmas Eve – anyone else out there still sewing? I’m setting the sleeves in a blouse for myself because I realized I have nothing else to wear. Got really distracted by baking cookies all day. And I still have a cake to do for dinner tomorrow, not to mention wrap a few presents and assemble the Polar Express track we’re surprising the kidlets with.
11 years ago LINKTamara @justsewitMerry Christmas everyone! I have done just s bit of hand stitching this morning on the clothes for the kids. I didn’t wrap them though as frankly I couldn’t be bothered and consequently they were met with a mediocre reaction.
I didn’t get to bed last night until this morning, 12.20am to be exact and the first wake up call was somewhere in the rem cycle with a “good morning mum”. Next thing you know I heard both kids talking about what was in their stockings and claiming to “download apps on their ipad minis” what? they wish! Anyway, even though I feel like I need another 10 hours sleep or I have gone ten round with Mike Tyson (sorry Mr T) I feel it is going to be a somewhat happy day. So it should be, I had my sewing fix, was walked in on, didn’t wrap them but they are happy with them anyway.
hope your Christmas day is equally excellent!
Tamara
11 years ago LINKwith love Heidi @with love HeidiI spent Boxing day sewing up my new Christmas present, Puppet Show! I made the shorts in yellow and white stripe seersucker with matching yellow bias trim. They are sew cute!
